How to avoid a condom breaking?

A condom that breaks can cause a lot of torment to couples: involuntary pregnancy, sexually transmitted diseases, etc. …. It is therefore best to make sure to follow a few guidelines to avoid this kind of incident. The solution is obviously in the choice of quality condoms, but that’s not all, there are some measures to take to ensure maximum protection. We will discuss the key points to pay attention to in order to avoid the inconvenience of a condom tearing in action.

  • Buy condoms that meet European Community or French standards.

A condom certified of standard CE or NF is much less likely to crack than a condom lambda or manufactured under not optimal conditions. The French standard NF (for French Standard) is indeed the quality assurance of a product. It makes it possible to avoid irritations and itchings related to the use of a not recognized condom.

This certification in force attests that the condoms were tested before their distribution. The safety for those which use them is consequently amplified.

  • Getting the right condom size to avoid bursting

It’s understandable that most people feel embarrassed and grab a pack of condoms in a hurry without bothering to read the instructions on the package. While sellers have a wide range of different sizes and widths to adequately cover all penis morphologies.

It is thus necessary to take the trouble to think of the exact size of its condom according to the appropriate length and the diameter.  The one in size Small corresponds generally to a length of 14 cm, while the condom Medium is in adequacy with a dimension of 17cm. For those who have a size above, there are also sizes XL and XXL.

  • Unrolling and putting it on properly

In order to have an optimal protection, to avoid making enter air and to make crack the condom. It is advised to put this last one before the penetration. It is also important to make sure that you do not tear it with your nails or your teeth when opening or unrolling it.

If a condom is not placed correctly, it can remain in the vagina: make sure that the base is not inside the vagina. You must also make sure that it does not slip or absorb air to avoid damaging it.

  • Adding lubricant if necessary

A dry condom breaks very easily, and although they are already lubricated, it is sometimes necessary to add some occasionally. However, using any kind of grease is to be avoided. This alters the composition of the latter, which can therefore crack at any time. Fatty substances such as Vaseline, oil or butter actually weaken condoms.

Consider using water-based or silicone-based lubricants if your condom needs more lubricant.

By respecting all these steps, the probability of your condom cracking is almost zero.
